The NSW legal community celebrates creativity in Just Music, a concert showcasing the finalists of the Law Society of NSW’s charity songwriting contest. The performances will include original lyric and instrumental pieces inspired by justice in various forms. Expect everything from moving ballads to toe-tapping rock.

The concert features a guest performance by Sydney jazz singer Cathi Ogden and band. Cathi Ogden has spent most of her career living and working in London. She has performed as a session singer and songwriter.

She has released three albums, including Out There, which was recognised by Billboard Magazine’s Critics Choice as a Top Ten Album of 2001. Her latest album, Curious Covers for Cool Cats, was a collaboration with award-winning British guitarist Nigel Price.

The concert also features SoundsLikeSydney reviewer Victoria Watson, singer, pianist and teacher of voice who will be at the piano in partnership with Sydney mezzo-soprano Megan Mooney. Together they will perform  “The Future is Female,” by American singer and composer Madeleine Moran, one of the contenders for the award.

Proceeds from ticket sales will support the life-changing work of The Butterfly Foundation, the national organisation that supports people with eating disorders.
