Ensemble Offspring Launches Digital Platform With Concert Premiere

Ensemble Offspring launches Offspring for All, a digital concert platform with artistic director and percussionist Claire Edwardes centre stage for the premiere of Rhythms of Change, a concert performance, recently recorded at Golden Retriever studios just before the hard lockdown.

This livestream features Claire’s inimitable casual introductions alongside a unique collection of new works for solo mallet percussion instruments (marimba and vibraphone) by six women Australian composers. The program is an important project for Claire where she aims to balance the scales of gender representation in classical music for performers of all ages and stages.
