Thoroughbass, comprising soprano Danielle Grant, violinist Tara Hashambhoy and Diana Weston at the piano presents Home and Hearth, a concert of intimate music for voice, piano and violin by Schubert, Haydn, Pleyel and traditional Scots tunes.
From the creator of the most intimate music of all time – songs by Franz Schubert and from Sydney Living Museums’ collection, Thoroughbass brings you music for pianoforte, voice and violin that was treasured by old and young. There are some familiar names like Schubert and Haydn, but more often than not, those that are unfamiliar. These were much-loved for their own sake as much as reminders of ‘home’.
