In 2014 one young composer and one young performer will receive expert tuition and practical hands-on curatorial expertise designing a program of innovative work that showcases themselves alongside Ensemble Offspring.

Ensemble Offspring’s Artistic Directors, Damien Ricketson and Claire Edwardes (representing the perspectives of composer and performer respectively), will mentor one emerging composer and one emerging performer through the year culminating in a showcase concert at the end of 2014.

“We are looking for two people with open minds and a sense of musical adventure who are up for a unique learning experience and performance opportunity, all thanks to the Australia Council grant which will allow Ensemble Offspring to continue its creative work, performance programs and provision of opportunities for young Australian musical talent,” said Ricketson.

Aspiring composers and performers are invited to apply. Closing date for applications: 11th December 2013 (midnight AEST)
