C S Lewis’ fantastic children’s classic The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe receives its Sydney stage premiere in Irita Kutchmy’s beautiful and heart-warming musical.
Presented by Chatswood Musical Society, the huge cast bursting with talent, some as young as 8, performs the thrilling tale which generations have enjoyed as a book and more recently as an award-winning motion picture.
The White Witch has trapped Narnia in an unending state of winter with no hope of Christmas. But all that changes when four children venture through an old wardrobe and enter a land of talking animals, giants and dwarves. With Aslan the Great Lion, they bravely fight the forces of evil and discover that Love is the deepest magic of all.
Can the mighty Aslan rescue two sons of Adam and two daughters of Eve from the fearsome perils on the other side of the wardrobe? Come and join Peter, Susan, Edmund and Lucy as they are thrown into the middle of a world they don’t know, didn’t expect and can’t leave – at least, not if the White Witch has her say!
The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe is directed and choreographed by Laura-Beth Wood with musical director Sam Lee.
