St James’ Anglican Church is inviting interested singers to a day-long workshop on glorious repertoire for Evensong, one of the greatest traditions of the Anglican Church. The workshop entitled Hail Gladdening Light, will be led by Warren Trevelyan-Jones, Director of Music at St James’ with Alistair Nelson at the organ and Vocal Coach Amy Moore. The workshop will conclude with Evensong sung at 4 pm.

The repertoire for the workshop includes Harris’ Hail, Gladdening Light, Parry’s I was Glad, Stanford’s Magnificat and Nunc dimitis in A, Bairstow’s Lord, Thou hast been my refuge and a session on Anglican chant psalms.

Cost: $30, includes scores and afternoon tea.
