Renaissance And Contemporary Choral Gems From The Choir Of St James’

The Choir of St James’ directed by Warren Trevelyan-Jones is joined by the Choir of Trinity College, University of Melbourne directed by Christopher Watson, in Incarnation,¬†a programme of sumptuous choral music reflecting the end of mortal life and the journey beyond death.

Journeying from the depths of despair to the light that brings hope and new birth, the choirs together will perform Thomas Tallis’ 40-part motet Spem in alium, and other cornerstones of the Renaissance from Palestrina and Tomkins¬†to the present day classics by Finzi and the choir’s own Brooke Shelley.
