The eight finalists in 2018 the Sydney Eisteddfod Opera Scholarship will perform with the North Sydney Symphony Orchestra in the finals concert to be adjuducated by John Bolton-Wood, Amelia Farrugia and Dr Nicholas Milton, AM.
The 2018 Finalists are: Shikara Ringdahl – Soprano (Brisbane, QLD)
Olivia Cranwell – Soprano (Waterloo, NSW)
Joshua Oxley – Tenor (Lane Cove, NSW)
Jarvis Dams – Baritone (Hamilton, NZ)
Chelsea Dolman – Soprano (Waikato, NZ)
Christopher Curcuruto – Bass Baritone (Croydon Park, NSW)
Morgan England – Soprano (Lawnton, QLD)
Celeste Haworth – Mezzo Soprano (Narrabeen, NSW)
In 2018, there is $70,000 in prizes to be won. The winner will be awarded a scholarship valued at $43,000, the second place-getter will receive a scholarship valued at $12,000. The third place-getter will receive $5,000 and the people’s choice award nominated by the audience at the final is valued at $500.
Non-placing finalists will receive $1,000 and semi-finalists who do not progress to the final win $500.
