The Willoughby Symphony is delighted to team up with Australian singer-songwriter Lior for a special concert conducted by the celebrated Sydney conductor and composer Nigel Westlake.
Lior is one of Australia’s most treasured artists renowned for his beautiful voice and songs that radiate truth and sincerity. He burst on to the Australian music scene in 2005 with his debut album ‘Autumn Flow’ which has become one of the most successful independent debut releases in Australia. Lior has since released a further six albums. He is a multi ARIA award winner as well as an APRA Screen Award winner for his songwriting work for film and television.
Lior – Leaving the Western Shadows features a collection of Lior’s most loved songs, ranging from older classics such as This Old Love, Daniel, and Bedouin Song, to new songs from his latest album release Between You and Me.
Lior, his band and Willoughby Symphony will perform his songs with existing and new orchestral arrangements drawn up specifically for the show from esteemed composers Iain Grandage, Benjamin Northey, and Nigel Westlake.
