A Scottish Theme For Willoughby Symphony Orchestra’s Annual Family Concert
Scotland the Brave is Willoughby Symphony Orchestra’s annual family concert for children which invites them on an extraordinary journey across the wild and verdant landscapes of Scotland.
Introducing children to classical music in a fun and engaging way, Chief Conductor and Artistic Director, Dr Nicholas Milton AM will lead the Willoughby Symphony Orchestra in an interactive performance of Mendelssohn’s gorgeously imaginative Scottish Symphony. The concert will also feature a special performance by traditional Scottish dancers.
The 45 minute performance will be followed by free face painting and craft activities from 3pm – 4pm in The Concourse foyer, as well as an opportunity to meet the musicians and learn more about the instruments of an orchestra.
Children are encouraged to dress up in their best Scottish attire – with prizes for best dressed!
