Amelia Farrugia, Tamara-Anna Cislowska And Jane Rutter Live At Lunch
Soprano Amelia Farrugia sings her favourite songs from opera, operetta, and the Great American Songbook in The Songbird, the third concert of the popular lunchtime series, Live at Lunch.
One of the brightest stars of opera in Australia, Amelia will dazzle audiences with beloved works by Gershwin, Bernstein, Lehar and Massenet. She will be accompanied by ARIA Award-winning pianist, Tamara-Anna Cislowska, and flautist, Jane Rutter.
Amelia has appeared with the Hong Kong Philharmonic Orchestra, the Australian state Symphony Orchestras, the Australian Brandenburg Orchestra, the Queensland Philharmonic Orchestra, and the Australian Philharmonic Orchestra. More recently, Amelia covered Renee Fleming and Susan Graham in the title role of The Merry Widow for the Metropolitan Opera in New York in 2015.
Tamara-Anna Cislowska is one of Australia’s most acclaimed pianists, and winner of the 2015 ARIA award for ‘Best Classical Album’ for her landmark recording, Peter Sculthorpe: Complete Works for Solo. She has performed around the world and Australia, winning prizes in London, Italy and Greece, including the Rovere d’Oro.
