ARIA Announces Fine Arts Nominees For 2017
The 2017 ARIA Awards launches at the National Art Gallery in Sydney on October 10, with the announcement of the winners in the Fine Arts category, including Best Classical Album, Best Jazz Album, Best Original Soundtrack/Cast/Show Album, Best World Music Album, along with Producer Of The Year, Engineer Of the Year, Best Cover Art and Best Comedy.

Tamara-Anna Cislowska “Elena Kats-Chernin: Unsent Love Letters – Meditations on Erik Satie” (ABC Classics/Universal Music)
Nominees for Best Original Soundtrack or Musical Theatre Cast Album include Nigel Westlake and the Sydney Symphony Orchestra, with Joseph Tawadros, Slava Grigoryan and Lior“Ali’s Wedding” (ABC Classics/Universal Music) and Richard Tognetti and the Australian Chamber Orchestra “Mountain” (ABC Classics/Universal Music).
The late comedian John Clarke’s “Clarke’s Classics” (ABC Classics/Universal Music) was nominated for Best Comedy Album and Slava Grigoryan & Australian String Quartet’s “Migration” (ABC Classics/Universal Music) won a nomination in the Best World Music Category.
