Australian Romantic & Classical Orchestra in the Melbourne Digital Concert Hall

Australian Romantic & Classical Orchestra (ARCO) presents Cavatina its first ever live-streamed concert when it performs in the Melbourne Digital Concert Hall (MDCH).

The concert is modestly-priced and features six Melbourne-based members of the orchestra – Australia’s premier exponents of historically informed performance (HIP). The concert will have a national and global reach.

Cavatina is a charming and impassioned program for strings celebrating the 19th century Mannheim Court and the Classical and early Romantic eras with works by Mozart, Richter, Rossini and the young Mendelssohn. Beethoven’s lyrical Cavatina is at the heart of the program performed on period instruments by principal musicians of the Australian Romantic & Classical Orchestra.

MDCH is designed to support musicians and the arts industry during these challenging times. Concerts are performed once, at set times as per traditional recitals and streamed at the highest quality. Tickets are sold online and all ticket money goes directly to the artists. Its rolling two-week program features some of Australia’s most loved performers alongside emerging artists, all of whom have lost work due to the closure of concert halls.
