Australian Singing Competition Finals
Five outstanding young singers have been selected to sing in the finals of the IFAC Australian Singing Competition, ‘The Mathy’ for 2015.
Spanning five different voice types, the finalists are bass baritone Jeremy Kleeman (24), counter tenor Maximilian Riebl (23) and the only female contestant, soprano Rebecca Gulinello (24), all from Victoria. Joining them from NSW will be tenor Damian Arnold (23) and baritone Benson Wilson (24),from New Zealand.
Accompanied by the Australian Opera & Ballet Orchestra conducted by Maestro Johannes Fritzsch the will be competing for over $200,000 in prizes & opportunities.
This year the Finals Concert will be judged by Linnhe Robertson, as National Adjudicator who will be joined by Conal Coad, Michael Halliwell, Emma Matthews and Simon Lord.
The IFAC Australian Singing Competition for opera and classical singers is Australasia’s premier competition and the richest of its kind. Since 1982 more than $2.8million in prizes has been won with nearly 3,000 singers shining in the spotlight.
