Australians amongst 2014 Jette Parker Particpants
Three young Australian singers are in the final five candidates selected to participate in the elite Jette Parker Young Artists Programme beginning in September 2014 at the Royal Opera, Covent Garden.
Australians soprano Lauren Fagan, baritone Samuel Johnson and tenor Samuel Sakker will join British bass James Platt and Ukranian bass-baritone Yuriy Yurchuk in the two year programme for which over 390 singers applied.
The Young Artists are paid members of the company and work at the Royal Opera House on a full-time basis as well as receiving coaching in all aspects of opera.
