Bach Arias And Duets
Presenting works by J. S. Bach, the Bourbaki Ensemble and their conductor David Angell will be joined by soprano Ayse Goknur Shanal, mezzo-soprano Jill Sullivan, flautist Christine Draeger and harpsichordist Diana Blom.
The programme includes the arias ‘Laudamus Te’ ( B minor mass), ‘Erbarme dich’ ( St Matthew Passion), ‘Stirbt in mir’ (Kantate BWV 169) and the duets ‘Christie Eleison’ (B minor Mass), ‘Domine Deus’ (Kantate BWV 236) and the ever joyful ‘Wir eilen mir schwachen doch emsigen Schritten’ (Kantate BWV 78).
