Ballads by Candlelight from the idea of north
The magic of a candlelit century old church is the setting for The Idea of North’s next Sydney concert in April. In ‘Ballads by Candlelight’ the a capella quartet will present, in their inimatable style, the songs of The Beatles, Stevie Wonder, Sting and Joni Mitchell. The concert marks the return of alto Naomi Crellin to the stage after some time off to have her baby. For some of the numbers, the quartet will stretch to a quintet as Joy Hague who has been filling in for Naomi Crellin, joins the ensemble for some 5-part arrangements of their songs.
Following the considerabe success of their CD ‘Extraordinary Tale’ last year, the group is busy putting together another CD, scheduled for release later this year.
