Chopin and Beethoven ‘Live at Lunch’ in Chatswood
Pianist Cho Ki Wong and the Tecchler String Quartet present music by Beethoven and Chopin at The Concourse, Chatswood in August as part of the Live at Lunchtime series.
Cho Ki Wong holds Masters in Piano Performance and Conducting from the Sydney Conservatorium of Music where he studied piano with Gerard Willems and conducting with Imre Pallo. He is the winner of the HK (Asia) Piano Open Competition in 2002, the ASKM Gold Coast Open Piano Competition in 2010 and the City of Wollongong Eisteddfod Open Piano Scholarship in 2011. He was the first in Asia to conduct the complete cycle of Beethoven piano concerti from the piano.
He is joined by one of the finest student ensembles from Sydney’s Conservatorium of Classical Music, The Tecchler String Quartet comprising violinists Jonathan Mui and James Dong, violist Carl Lee and cellist Christopher Mui. Together they have performed across Switzerland, Norway and Brazil.
