Especially For The Kids – Mini Maestros: The Conductor And The Clown From Willoughby Symphony
Back by popular demand, the Willoughby Symphony’s Baby Proms series returns this January with Mini Maestros: The Conductor and the Clown.
A mini symphony performance just for children, this engaging concert will showcase some of the best known works in a fun, interactive way – a perfect introduction to classical music!
Conducted by George Ellis and George Washingmachine, two of Australia’s most celebrated children’s concert presenters, children will love this entertaining show featuring plenty of hilarious physical comedy, a 12 piece orchestra and loads of infectious laughter!
George Ellis was Musical Director of the Babies Proms orchestral series at the Sydney Opera House from 2002 to 2010 and has presented orchestral concerts for children around Australia and internationally.
“Mini Maestros: The Conductor and the Clown is a wonderful opportunity for young children to experience classical music for the first time in a fun, colourful and intimate setting,” said Willoughby Symphony Chief Conductor and Artistic Director, Dr Nicholas Milton. “A perfect fusion of entertainment and education, this 45 minute concert will delight and inspire a lifelong love of symphonic music,” he said.
Tickets: $26 Seating is general admission, which will allow the concert to be informal and interactive. Babies in arm (aged 0 – 11 months free).
