Australian Haydn Ensemble Heavenly Sopranos

The Australian Haydn Ensemble is joined by soprano Celeste Lazarenko and mezzo-soprano Helen Sherman in its program of exquisite Baroque compositions titled Heavenly Sopranos.
This unusual combination of voices with string ensemble performs a program of music by Hasse, Durante along with the ever-popular Stabat Mater by Pergolesi.
Lazarenko recently thrilled audiences as Ilia in Mozart’s Idomeneo for Opera Australia. Sherman brilliantly sang the role of Irene in Handel’s staged oratorio Theodora for Opera Australia and Pinchgut Opera.

This program is performed in Sydney on April 16 and tours to Parramatta Sunday April 7, Canberra Thursday April 11, Berry Friday April 12,Southern Highlands Saturday April 13, Wyong Sunday April 14.
