Australian Haydn Ensemble Presents Die Stille Nacht

The Australian Haydn Ensemble presents Die Stille Nacht, (The Silent Night) featuring baritone David Greco, artistic director and leader Skye McIntosh and flautist Melissa Farrow.

This program of gems from the baroque era will tour NSW and the ACT and features music by Vivaldi, Telemann, Hasse and Biber, including two splendid works by Telemann, his solo cantata Der am Ölberg zagende Jesus, known as Die Stille Nacht (The Silent Night), and his Sonata à 6 in F minor for strings. Also on the program, Vivaldi’s Flute Concerto in G minor, known as ‘La Notte’ and selections from Biber’s Serenade à 5 Der Nachtwächeterlied. It will also be streamed on Australian Digital Concert Hall.
