Carnivals And Adventures With The Metropolitan Orchestra

The Metropolitan Orchestra’s second Met Concert for 2023, Carnivals & Adventures includes two exceptional masterworks along with an exciting world premiere featuring solo saxophone with orchestra. Join Chief Conductor Sarah-Grace Williams and over 60 musicians of The Metropolitan Orchestra for an energetic concert filled with carnival atmosphere.
Antonin Dvořák’s fabulous Carnival Overture will set the bright musical theme. Then, Nicholas Russoniello, who is both the composer and featured alto saxophone soloist, joins the ensemble for his new work titled Where The Mountain. Edvard Grieg’s Peer Gynt Suites 1 and 2 will bring the afternoon to a pinnacle in the beautiful surrounds of the Marrickville Town Hall.
