Celestial Baroque In Australian Brandenburg Orchestra’s ‘Higher Angels’

Sara Macliver, one of Australia’s favourite sopranos and acknowledged leading exponent of Baroque repertoire and counter-tenor Russell Harcourt, join the Australian Brandenburg Orchestra directed by Paul Dyer AO, for Higher Angels, a program of stellar arias and orchestral works by Handel and Graun.
A longtime friend of the Brandenburg and Paul Dyer, Sara Macliver performed on our 1998 album If Love’s a Sweet Passion, as well as the Brandenburg’s inaugural Noël! Noël! concert in 2000. Since then, Sara has recorded more than 35 albums with ABC Classic and become a regular performer with Australian symphony orchestras and international companies.
The concert will tour to Riverside Theaters in Parramatta (Thursday 29 April 7:00PM) as well as being broadcast online on Brandenburg One on Saturday May 29 at 5 pm. Sydney matinee, Saturday 24 April at 2 pm.
