Ensemble Offspring’s ‘Sizzle’ Returns
April 18, 2021 @ 3:00 pm - 8:00 pm
Ensemble Offspring’s annual Sizzle music festival has been smashing stereotypes for more than a decade, taking art music out of the concert hall and setting it loose at the local bowlo. After a brief hiatus in 2020, Sizzle returns to the inner west of Sydney but with a difference.
This time around their signature blend of musical virtuosity and artistic irreverence includes three world premieres and will be served up at Marrickville’s newest venue, The Great Club, in an extended festival format. Strap in for an anarchic afternoon of art music-meets-indie-meets-pop-meets-family show. Featuring knockout sets by Ensemble Offspring and guest narrator Katia Molino (of Secret Noise fame), double bass sensation Will Hansen (20/21 Hatched Academy Associate Artist) and a brand new surround sound instrumental work from Megan Alice Clune that will dazzle the senses, the 2021 Sizzle Festival is turning up the heat.
