Nadia Piave And Friends Weave Piccoli Miracoli (Small Miracles) for Easter

Nadia Piave and friends present their Easter concert for 2022, Piccoli Miracoli (Small Miracles) – A concert for Eastertide.

Chanteuse Nadia Piave with Gino Pengue on guitar, mandolin and cittern and Jess Ciampa, voice and percussion will present music for the reflective Easter season , in a beautiful acoustic, featuring the solitary sound of a voice and cittern or guitar with a heartbeat drum, giving us pause for thought, and helping us to celebrate the small miracles of the everyday.

This year’s program includes hymns, spirituals and songs by Victor Jara, Pino Daniele, Bob Dylan, Elizabeth Poston, Christina Mimmocchi, George Butterworth and Malcolm Williamson’s Easter Carol, plus Billy Strayhorn, Sidney Bechet and Duke Ellington’s various homages to the miracles of flowers, and the glorious Agnus Dei from the High Lonesome Bluegrass Mass Come Away to the Skies.

The concert will end with a short meditation, which proved to be so popular at the end of the Christmas concert – a musical garden of quiet in these fraught times.
