Phoenix Collective With Dan Walker

May 15, 2022 @ 4:00 pm

Phoenix Collective presents The Juliet Letters, a song sequence for string quartet which marries chamber music with Beatles-esque art-pop, inspired by the true story of a Verona professor who responded to letters addressed to Juliet, of Romeo and Juliet fame.

Composed by Elvis Costello and the Brodsky Quartet, the concert features one of Australia’s most in-demand choral specialists, tenor Dan Walker. Walker, with Phoenix Collective, a dynamic ensemble which brings together some of Australia’s most accomplished and high-profile musicians including violinist and Artistic Director Dan Russell, violinist Pip Thompson, violist Ella Brinch and cellist Andrew Wilson.

This concert is part of a series, Chatswood Culture Bites which will present Phoenix Collective showcasing classical music with a uniquely Australian edge on four Sunday afternoons from 15 May to 14 August in the intimacy of Chatswood’s Zenith Theatre. All sessions 70 mins no interval.

Tickets: $29 to $49 / Family $140 (Rec for ages 12+)
