Ripples And Echoes: A Hidden Curiosity From Kammerklang
November 16 @ 2:00 pm
Kammerklang continues its Hidden Curiosities series with Ripples and Echoes: A Hidden Curiosity championing underperformed Australian music in danger of being lost, this time with double bass repertoire, to be followed by works for viola in early 2025.
This concert features Sydney performer and curator Will Hansen performing a world premiere written for by Cameron Lam, Before We Leave, a part of Lam’s ongoing Palette Pieces series, a collection of solo pieces inspired by watercolour paints and duo works combining colours into musical paintings. Hansen also performs a selection of memories and experiences, stretching from the sky to the cosmos in a one-hour solo instrumental cabaret which promises a relaxed environment, good stories, and incredible local music.
The concert includes music by other composers from around Australia, including Declan Postlethwaite, Elissa Goodrich, Keyna Wilkins, Mark Oliveiro, Naomi Dodd, Stephen Hornby, William Varga and Zoe Gougousidis.
