The Opera and Song Collective Celebrates Kirsten Flagstad

The Opera and Song Collective (TOSC) celebrates winter with the first of two recitals on Saturday 25 May
2pm at the Mosman Art Gallery with Solveig’s Song, a tribute to the legendary Norwegian soprano, Kirsten Flagstad. Described by many as ‘the voice of the 20th century’, legendary Norwegian soprano, Kirsten Flagstad is celebrated in a concert of songs and arias she loved and sang.
For the great Flagstad, it takes three singers and two pianists to present a tribute. Mezzo-soprano Jill Sullivan is joined by her colleagues from Opera Australia, Leah Thomas and Bronwyn Douglass and pianists, Donna Balson and Stephen Walter.
Their program ranges from Handel arias and duets to Grieg songs, Puccini, Johann Strauss, Wagner, Richard Strauss and Sibelius.
