Fauré Requiem and Songs of Calm – The Healing Power Of Music
DocsVox – NSW Doctors Choir, with guest conductor Anthony Pasquill and soloists Dr Wei Jiang and Dr Sam Elmi, highlight the healing power of music with Fauré Requiem and Songs of Calm – an afternoon of tranquil music in the midst of a turbulent world. Also in the programme, works by Tallis, Duruflé, Pärt and others.
DocsVox was formed in 2018 and gave its first concert to a sell-out audience in 2019. Since then, the singers have taken part in regular workshops and pop-up choirs in Sydney. DocsVox is proud to showcase two of their multi-talented colleagues as soloists in the newly refurbished and resplendent venue of Christ Church St Laurence.
A portion of the proceeds will be donated to the Salvation Army Disaster Appeal Fund.
