In Pursuit of Choral Perfection – Inside Tales From The Wagner Festival Chorus
The Wagner Society of New South Wales presents In Pursuit of Choral Perfection, a talk given by tenor George Gilmour and soprano Sarahlouise Owens.
Both singers are former Bayreuth choristers and their talk ill reveal the inside workings of the famous Wagner Festival Chorus.
George Gilmour has now changed careers combining artistic and corporate endeavours while Sarahlouise Owens lives in Canberra where she conducts and sings.
Before the talk, at 12.30, there will be a DVD of the Wagner Bicentenary Concert from the Semper Oper Dresden, featuring Jonas Kaufmann.
Afternoon tea will be served after the talk.
