Preview\u00a0Opera Australia\u2019s new production of Puccini\u2019s Tosca, <\/strong><\/em>directed by John Bell.<\/p>\n

\u2018Tosca<\/em> <\/strong>is the drama of Tosca, Scarpia and Cavaradossi, and you need three excellent singing actors to bring that drama to life”, says Lyndon Terracini, Artistic Director of Opera Australia. ”\u00a0John Bell, with his long history as a theatre director is ideal for such a production.”<\/p>\n

Two\u00a0highly respected sopranos\u00a0will share the title role, Alexia Voulgaridou and Cheryl Barker. They are joined by the\u00a0tenors Yonghoon Lee and Diego Torre,\u00a0with\u00a0baritone John Wegner playing Scarpia in the legendary love triangle. Christian Badea conducts the Australian Opera and Ballet Orchestra in this new production.\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n
