Opera Australia Young Artist Jonathan Abernethy will perform selections from Schubert’s Die sch\u00f6ne M\u00fcllerin<\/em>\u00a0with pianist Andrew Greene as part of the Lunchtime Concert Series at St James’ King Street.<\/p>\n Jonathan made his very successful mainstage debut as Tamino in\u00a0The Magic Flute<\/i>\u00a0at the Sydney Opera House\u00a0earlier this year and is covering for Don Ottavio in Opera Australia’s upcoming production of\u00a0Don Giovanni<\/i>. His appearance in this role for Opera Australia\/Oz Opera’s touring production of\u00a0Don Giovanni<\/em>\u00a0was hailed as \u2018a standout performance\u2019.<\/p>\n Jonathan won the Opera Australia Award at the New Zealand Singing School in Napier in 2011. The following year, he was invited to join the prestigious Opera Australia Moffatt Oxenbould Young Artist Program in Sydney.
