The ensemble then comes together in two piano trios: Grammy-award winner Joan Tower\u2019s <i>Big Sky<\/i>, which was inspired by her childhood memory of horseback riding through the Bolivian Andes; and the soul-stirring Shostakovich second piano trio, which premiered in Leningrad in 1944 and which intrigues with sharp contrasts and rhythms from Jewish folk music.<\/p>\n<p>The performers:\u00a0Vesa-Matti\u00a0Lepp\u00e4nen,\u00a0violin\/Umberto Clerici, cello\/Kathryn Selby, piano<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\" align=\"center\">The programme:\u00a0<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\" align=\"center\">Joan Tower <em>Big Sky<\/em>\u00a0(2000) &#8211;
