Staples High School Orphenians, Director Luke Rosenberg<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n

Choral music unites two distant communities when the\u00a0Orphenians from Staples High School,\u00a0Connecticut and Brisbane\u2019s Canterbury\u00a0College Cantabile Choir perform a concert in Sydney.<\/p>\n

During this tour, the Orphenians and Cantabile will join other USA choirs, Australian university choir members, and the Shanghai S-future Choir, in a four-day festival under the baton of Grammy Award-winning Maestro Craig Hella Johnson. The festival culminates in a free Gala Concert i<\/a>n the Concert Hall of the Sydney Opera House on Tuesday 17 July.<\/p>\n

Throughout its 25 year history,\u00a0Canterbury College Cantabile Singers has represented Australia nationally and internationally\u00a0at festivals and competitions, placing third in the Llangollen International Musical Eisteddfod Festival in 2010. They are no strangers to performing\u00a0in Sydney, having performed in the Sydney Opera House in the Voices Across the Pacific Festival\u00a0in 2014.<\/p>\n
