The festival\u2019s musical highlights include world premieres from British composer Christopher Fox alongside a world premiere of the new percussion solo by Canadian sensation Nicole Liz\u00e9e written for Ensemble Offspring\u2019s percussionist and artistic director, Claire Edwardes.<\/p>\n<p>Alongside the music, the festival will offer the \u2018Kontiki Bazaar\u2019 \u2013 an interactive market featuring everything from artisan food and beverages, to weird and wacky instrument and music exchange corners and \u2018Meet The Artist\u2019 sessions which will give the public the chance to get up and close and personal with performers.<\/p>\n<p>Ensemble Offspring\u2019s Hatched Academy artists will feature during the festival. This year\u2019s Associate Artist viola player Henry Justo will perform alongside trumpet player extraordinaire Callum G\u2019Froerer &#8211; their very first Associate Artist, and Niki Johnson on percussion.<\/p>\n<p>Kontiki Racket will also see the launch of the group\u2019s \u20182019 Offspring Bites\u2019 series, an annual audio-visual release of their favorite recent commissions.<\/p>\n<p>Kontiki Racket premiered at The Nest Creative Space in Alexandria in 2016 &#8211; a living and breathing new music culture.\u00a0Unlike other festivals, Kontiki Racket is more than just a concert.
