Image Mike Chesworth<\/p>\n<p>The Metropolitan Orchestra\u2019s (TMO) next Met Concert <em>Tangos and Tchaikovsky<\/em> will feature Tchaikovsky\u2019s <em>Serenade for Strings<\/em> followed by\u00a0a world-premiere performance of\u00a0<em>Libertango Suite,<\/em> featuring pianist-composer Daniel Rojas.\u00a0\u00a0Led by Artistic Director and Chief Conductor Sarah-Grace Williams, these two works performed by TMO\u2019s inspired string section will have the audience swaying in their seats in a night of passion fuelled energy.<\/p>\n<p>Tchaikovsky\u2019s\u00a0<em>Serenade for Strings<\/em> opens the evening with its distinct solemn chorale theme which develops through each movement to reach an exuberant and melodious dance-like finish.<\/p>\n<p>Argentine composer Astor Piazzolla revolutionised tango music by incorporating elements of jazz and classical music into his traditional tango compositions. \u00a0Heavily influenced by Piazzolla\u2019s sensual, poignant and exuberant work, Daniel Rojas\u2019 <em>Libertango Suite<\/em> complements and salutes the iconic composer with Rojas\u2019 unique and distinctive take on tango, salsa rhythms and classical music.\u00a0The world premiere performance showcasing Rojas\u2019 characteristic warmth and charm will leave the audience both breathless and chanting for more.<\/p>\n<p>The programme: TCHAIKOVSKY Serenade for Strings\/\u00a0PIAZZOLLA\/ROJAS Libertango Suite *World Premiere<\/p>\n<p>The performers:\u00a0Conductor: Sarah-Grace Williams\/\u00a0Soloist:\u00a0 Daniel Rojas &#8211; Piano\/Composer<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.metorchestra.com.au\/2019-met-concert-3\/\">Bookings<strong>\u00a0\u00a0<\/strong><\/a><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Daniel Rojas.
