After the highly acclaimed album Destination Rachmaninov \u2013 Departure<\/em> Daniil Trifonov concludes his Rachmaninov recording project for Deutsche Grammophon with Destination Rachmaninov – Arrival,<\/em> a programme that includes Rachmaninov’s Piano Concertos Nos. 1 & 3,<\/em> \u00a0Trifonov\u2019s own transcriptions of Rachmaninov\u2019s lyrical Vocalise<\/em> and virtuosic The Silver Sleigh Bells. <\/em>The album is available now.<\/p>\n

The Grammy and Gramophone winning Trifonov follows in Rachmaninov’ss footsteps to record with the Philadelphia Orchestra, conducted by Yannick N\u00e9zet-S\u00e9guin<\/p>\n

Sydney-siders travelling to Europe next year take note – Trifonov will perform Rachmaninov at London\u2019s Royal Festival Hall (22 March 2020), Hamburg\u2019s Elbphilharmonie (25 March), the Berlin Philharmonie (26 March) and the Konzerthaus in Vienna (28 March). He returns to Europe soon after as soloist in Mozart\u2019s Piano Concerto No. 25 in C major K 503 with the New York Philharmonic Orchestra and Jaap van Zweden. Their tour opens at the Barbican Centre in London on 30 April and continues over the following two weeks with concerts in Cologne, Luxembourg, Lyon, Stockholm, Berlin and Dresden.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
