Celebrate the festive season with a special show Voices of Angels: The Twelve Days of Christmas <\/em>with Gondwana Choirs.<\/p>\n

Celebrating its 30th anniversary this year, the Sydney Children\u2019s Choir will mark the festive season with two special concerts. The Twelve Days of Christmas<\/em> pairs the days and their associated gifts of the much-loved carol with beautiful music from across the centuries.<\/p>\n

Gondwana Choirs\u2019 Associate Artistic Director Sam Allchurch makes his directing debut with the Sydney Children\u2019s Choir\u00a0 which will perform the music of Benjamin Britten and William Mathias, new works by Sally Whitwell and Joseph Twist, as well as other loved Christmas songs.<\/p>\n

\u201cVoices of Angels is an opportunity to escape into a Christmas fantasy land with beautiful festive music performed by young voices in the heart of the city. The concert will be an uplifting journey through the twelve days of Christmas with some stunning moments of stillness that are much-needed at this busy time of year,\u201d said Sam Allchurch.<\/p>\n

Founded as a single ensemble by Lyn Williams AM in 1989, Sydney Children\u2019s Choir has grown to include more than 500 young people, comprising performing choirs and training ensembles. The choir is known for its distinctive Australian choral sound, precision and discipline, honed through its world-renowned Choral Training Program.<\/p>\n

The choir is joined by the Voices of Angels orchestra, led by Helena Rathbone.
