Popular broadcaster Graham Abbott’s fifteenth episode of his fascinating podcast series ‘Classics Unlocked’, is available now on YouTube, Apple Music and all other podcast platforms. Every episode is also hosted on the Classics Direct website.<\/p>\n

In this episode of ‘Classics Unlocked’, Graham explores the piano music of B\u00e9la Bart\u00f3k whose music was strongly influenced by his research into folk music traditions. B\u00e9la Bart\u00f3k also wrote in a strongly modernist vein. One of the great composers and music educators of the 20th century, he was also one of its great pianists.<\/p>\n

The recordings featured in this episode come from a recent reissue on the Eloquence label, showcasing the 1950s albums made by the Hungarian pianist Andor Foldes, originally on the Deutsche Grammophon label. The 19-CD Limited Edition box set is now available.<\/a><\/p>\n
