The Australian Chamber Orchestra presents Beethoven 250<\/em>, in tribute to one of the world\u2019s most influential composers in celebration of the 250th anniversary of his birth. After what has been an incredibly challenging year for many, the ACO will be closing 2020 with some of the most sublime and deeply moving music ever written.<\/p>\n

This special one-hour performance led by Richard Tognetti showcases the magnitude of Beethoven\u2019s enduring legacy, opening with music by Schubert and moving through the world premiere of Anna Clyne\u2019s Stride<\/em>, inspired by Beethoven\u2019s Pathetique<\/em> piano sonata, and Vaughan Williams\u2019 soaring The Lark Ascending<\/em>. The concert concludes with Beethoven\u2019s moving Cavatina & Grosse Fuge<\/em>, a timeless masterpiece considered to be one of Beethoven\u2019s greatest achievements.<\/p>\n
