Kathryn Selby, AM presents A Final Offering<\/em>, a spectacular performance with an elite ensemble of musical friends to round out her 2020 Season online, on demand, from Friday 6 November.<\/p>\n

Sydney’s magnificent City Recital Hall is again the venue for this exciting, high-quality filmed-live concert, with special features. It replaces the planned live November subscription concerts around the country.<\/p>\n

Recorded under strict health and safety protocols, the concert is approximately 75 minutes long and will be available to regular subscribers and the general public as a live-filmed online concert to\u00a0music lovers around Australia and the world.<\/p>\n

\u00a0<\/strong>Joining Selby for this performance are her brilliant international \u2018friends\u2019 Susie Park (Violin: Concertmaster Minnesota Symphony Orchestra), Stefanie Farrands (Principal Viola ACO) and Timo-Veikko Valve (Principal Cello ACO), in a program of Schubert, Schumann and Shostakovich.<\/p>\n

The concert takes its title from its composer\u2019s final offering in the genre, and comprises Schubert\u2019s iconic Notturno<\/em>, Shostakovich\u2019s Piano Trio in E minor, Opus 67<\/em> composed during the dying days of WWII; and Schumann\u2019s Piano Quartet in E Flat Major, Op.47<\/em> composed as the final piece for a larger ensemble during his famous \u2018Chamber Music Year of 1842\u2019.<\/p>\n
