This latest instalment showcases the dynamic range and expressive potential of the flute across an exciting collection of contemporary<br \/>\nAustralian compositions.<\/p>\n<p>Featuring collaborations with Jerry Wong (piano) and Joshua Hyde (electronics), <em>Flute Perspectives<\/em> <em>4<\/em> explores innovative soundscapes and diverse musical voices through new works and reimagined classics by Harry Sdraulig, Alan Holley, Anne Boyd, Joshua Hyde, Linda Verrier, and Keith Humble.<\/p>\n<p>Joshua Hyde\u2019s <em>Folding outward into traces<\/em> is a striking fusion of flute multiphonics and electronics, developed through a deeply collaborative process.\u00a0Linda Verrier\u2019s <em>Firefly\u2019s Dream<\/em> for alto flute offers shimmering textures and detailed sonic colour, while Alan Holley\u2019s lyrical solo works <em>Rosella<\/em> and <em>River Song<\/em> evoke a delicate Australian landscape. The recording also includes the first commercial release of Harry Sdraulig\u2019s Sonata for Flute and Piano, praised for its emotional depth and structural sophistication, and a powerful new rendition of Keith Humble\u2019s avant-garde five-movement Sonata, showcasing the technical and expressive breadth of both flute and piano.<\/p>\n<p>Flute Perspectives 4, continues Jones&#8217; mission to champion Australian music and expand the<br \/>\nhorizons of contemporary flute performance.<\/p>\n<p><em>Flute Perspectives 4<\/em> is available now on <a
