Jazz At The Con – Masterclass With Invenio
Melbourne based vocal group Invenio, present a free masterclass at the Sydney Conservatorium of Music as part of their national tour.
Formed by Gian Slater in 2010,the Invenio singers to perform the large commission piece Gone without saying. Since then, Invenio has premiered Gian’s second large work Us and Others, with Speak Percussion in 2011.
They have also performed at the Sydney Opera House Studio, Dancehouse Theatre, The Melbourne Town Hall, Wangaratta Jazz Festival and Melbourne Arts Festival and featured performances with singer/songwriter, Lior and the with the Black Arm Band, Ricki Lee Jones, Mavis Staples, Archie Roach and Joss Stone. In 2011, they performed and recorded for NY pianist/composer, Barney McAll’s Graft project and released their debut album Gone, without saying.
