Lise Davidsen Debut Album
Norwegian lyric dramatic soprano Lise Davidsen has released her debut album Lise Davidsen with the Philharmonia Orchestra conducted by Esa-Pekka Salonen pn Decca.
Winner of The World Opera Competition, Placido Domingo’s Operalia and the Queen Sonja International Music Competition, both in 2015, Lise was the Gramophone Young Artist of the Year in 2018 and makes her Met Opera debut this year.
An exponent of the music of Wagner and Strauss, she also debuts at the Bayreuth Festival and is one of the youngest-ever singers to record Strauss’ Four Last Songs.
The 13 tracks on the album include R Strauss’ Four Last Songs, Es gibt ein Reich from Ariadne auf Naxos, Ruhe, meine Seele! Cacilie, Morgen! and two arias from Tannhäuser.
