Live At Lunch – Amelia Farrugia Sings Aussie Opera Divas
Soprano Amelia Farrugia pays tribute to Joan Sutherland, June Bronhill and Nellie Melba in Home! Sweet Home! Aussie Opera Divas, the second concert of the popular Live at Lunch series curated by Jane Rutter. Performing favourites by Lehar, Delibes, Offenbach, Verdi, Puccini and Massenet, Amelia will be joined by pianist Chris Cartner and flautist Jane Rutter.
Amelia is in high demand as an opera and concert artist and has appeared with the Hong Kong Philharmonic Orchestra, ABC Symphony Orchestras, Australian Brandenburg Orchestra, Queensland Philharmonic Orchestra, and Australian Philharmonic Orchestra.
Amelia won a Green Room Award for her role as Oscar in Opera Australia’s A Masked Ball, and has been nominated for a Classical Aria, an MO Award, Opera Australia’s Remy Martin Award, a Helpmann Award for Musetta in La Boheme and a Green Room Award for her leading roles in Manon, Adina in L’elisir d’amore and Susanna in Le Nozze di Figaro.
In an exciting addition to this year’s program, audience members can join Jane and guest artists for lunch after each concert.
