Marginal Consort At Carriageworks
Legendary Japanese collective, Marginal Consort, will perform a rare site-specific concert for Carriageworks. Building on the experimental music traditions of Japan, they create deeply spatial works that sit at the nexus of performance and installation.
Kazuo Imai, Kei Shii, Masami Tada and Tomonao Koshikawa together craft instruments and create evolving sound environments that are entirely site specific. In this moment of improvisation, audiences are encouraged to move around the venue to capture changing sounds perceptions.
