Melbourne Digital Concert Hall Adds OnDemand Concerts
In response to renewed lockdown conditions in Victoria, Melbourne Digital Concert Hall (MDCH) is also doubling down on its support for Melbourne artists by launching a new MDCHonDemand series, releasing a curated selection of past performances each week, enabling people to relive MDCH highlights, catch concerts they missed or offer further assistance to their favourite musicians,’ explains Co-Director Chris Howlett.
Tickets: $20 per concert.
Each performance will be available for one week only and can be streamed here.
As always, the proceeds go to the artists themselves.
This week: the very first MDCH broadcast with Arcadia Winds, top symphony players up close in the Opening Gala of the Faces of our Orchestras Festival and tour the European Cultural Capitals with members of the Australian Chamber Choir.
Melbourne Digital Concert Hall is a social enterprise run by musicians, for musicians. It was conceived to support the arts industry during the COVID-19 crisis and to provide a means for soloists and small ensembles to continue their profession. In its first three months, it has presented 100 concerts, engaged 290 musicians in Melbourne, Sydney, Perth, Brisbane and Berlin and generated over $425,000 in ticket revenue, with all box office proceeds going directly to the artists themselves.
