Met Stars Live in Concert Features Their Best From Around The World

New York’s Metropolitan Opera announces Met Stars Live in Concert, a new series of 12 pay-per-view concerts featuring opera’s most extraordinary voices, streamed live from striking locations across Europe and the United States.

While the Metropolitan Opera House remains dark because of the ongoing health crisis, Met Stars Live in Concert will allow audiences to experience extraordinary solo and duo performances by top singers—streamed live online via satellite and shot with multiple cameras, from such locations as a former abbey in Bavaria, a Norwegian castle, and an outdoor terrace on a cliff overlooking the Mediterranean.

The series blends the intimacy of the Met’s virtual At-Home Gala with the high production value of the company’s Live in HD series of cinema transmissions. It features opera greats such as Jonas Kaufmann, Renée Fleming, Anna Netrebko, and Joyce DiDonato.

Tickets for each recital are $20, and will be available for purchase from Tuesday, July 14, at 12PM EDT. Each performance will remain available for on-demand viewing for 12 days.
