‘Music and Me’ with George Negus
Singing Bird Productions brings more fascinating insights into the music of Australian personalities with George Negus the guest and Emma Ayres the host in their April presentation.
The iconic journalist, television presenter and self confessed “music groupie” has selected a diverse range of music, including Rachmaninov’s Moments Musicaux, Ocean by Blues and Roots guitar guru John Butler, Bocelli’s classic The Prayer, and an exclusive performance of indigenous music from Shellie Morris’ upcoming album Together We Are Strong.
The ABC’s Emma Ayres will talk with George about his selections which will be performed in context by an ensemble of artists including soprano Angela Lewis, tenor Daniel Tambasco, pianists James Guan and Julia de Plater, guitarist Steve Crocker, and indigenous artist Shellie Morris, also widely acclaimed as an artist withThe Black Arm Band.
