Nadia Piave Sings Songs From The Italian Cinema
Chanteuse Nadia Piave and pianist Mauro Colombis take you to behind the scenes to Italy’s most celebrated film studio and the songs from the films that made it famous in Cinecittá. Rome’s Hollywood-on-the-Tiber, became synonymous with the films of Federico Fellini and la dolce vita.
Nadia and Mauro will perform music by Nino Rota, Ennio Morricone, Armando Trovajoli and others. Nadia Piave and Mauro Colombis kick off the performing year with a concert of music from a medium they both adore – cinema! Mauro is an internationally recognised improvising accompanist for silent film and Nadia is a self-professed cinephile tragic. Vittorio De Sica is King and Sofia Loren is the bee’s knees.
